Today as I got news about my sister and the cancer taking over her body, this song came to my mind. It is by Hilary Weeks. I have pretty much cried all day, the tears are so close to the surface.
Just Let Me Cry
I believe that everything happens for a reason.
We’re not just tossed by the wind,
or left in the hands of fate.
But sometimes life sends a storm that’s unexpected.
And we’re forced to face our deepest pain.
When I feel the heartache begin to pull me under...
I dig my heels in deep,
and I fight to keep my ground.
Still, at times the hurt inside grows stronger.
And there’s nothing I can do but let out...
Just let me cry.
I know it’s hard to see.
But the pain I feel isn’t going away today.
Just let me cry.
Till every tear has fallen.
Don’t ask when...
and don’t ask why.
Just let me cry.
When I agreed that God could put this heart inside me.
I understood that there would be a chance that it would break.
But I know He knows exactly how I’m feeling...
And I know in time He’ll take the pain away.
But for now...
Just let me cry.
I know it’s hard to see.
But the pain I feel isn’t going away today.
Just let me cry.
Till every tear has fallen.
Don’t ask when...
and don’t ask why.
Just let me cry.
I have felt joy,
the kind that makes my heart want to sing.
And so my tears are not a surrender,
I’ll feel that way again.
But for now...
For this moment...
Just let me cry.
I know it’s hard to see.
But the pain I feel.
Isn’t going away today.
Just let me cry.
Till every tear has fallen.
Don’t ask when...
and don’t ask why.
Just let me cry.
I believe that everything happens for a reason.
I love you Nat!

Mel,
I'm so sorry about all this! If there is anything that I have learned over the past several months of nearly losing my baby and the trials that have come with that, it's that the Lord will not take some home until their mission on this earth is done and we can rest assured that when the time comes for him to call them home, they have done what they set out to do on this earth! I've also gained a testimony that sometimes the Lord gives physical trials to some of his children, like my little baby, or Natalie, because they are too precious to be corrupted with the spiritual trials and the worldly things and for that I'm grateful.
I love you and will keep you guys in my prayers!
I take it the news isn't good today. I'm so sorry. Crying is good. Not my favorite thing ever- but it is therapeutic. I know the Lord will carry you if you let him.
I'm so sorry Melanie. We will be thinking and praying for you and your family.
Melanie, I am so sorry to hear that your sister is not doing well. I think cancer is one of the most evil things in this world. I pray they can find a cure for cancer. I know I havn't seen you forever, but if you or your family need anything, please let me know. All of you will be in our prayers.
Melanie,
I am so sorry to hear the sad news! I will keep your family in my prayers.
