I feel like I am in a rut. I have spring fever, Colsten has spring fever. I am ready to have the nice weather and be able to play outside. I never feel like I have anything interesting to talk about. I feel like I do the same thing day in and day out. Sometimes I feel like a crappy mom. I was reading my sweet cousins blog the other day (I hope she doesn't mind if I mention it) she just had a baby a few months ago, she is sleep deprived and she feels like she yells at her older two children all of the time. As I was reading it I thought that sounded like me. I am not sleep deprived, but Colsten and I beat heads all of the time. I feel like he does things just to get under my skin and then I yell at him, I put him in time out, I take away privileges. Sometimes I don't know what to do. I know that the poor little kid just wants attention. I love him so much, but it is very clear he is a daddy's boy, and I know he loves me, but he prefers Tally do everything for him. And my poor Braylon. He is our sickly child. I feel like a couple months after he was born until now (he is 10 months) he has been sick. Seriously I think out of the 10 months he has been sick off and on for 8 of them. We have made multiple ER visits and doctor visits. It is enough to drain anyone. Anyway that is the negative I guess.
I love my boys very much. I wouldn't want my life to be any other way. They both make me laugh on a daily basis and I am so blessed I was given these two beautiful children to raise.
Colsten is all boy. He loves everything that is boy. Our living room and kitchen run together. We have wood floors in the kitchen. Well this winter my kitchen and living room have been turned into a basketball court, a baseball field, a soccer field, a wrestling arena, and most recently he has taken up a love for Hockey. So my kitchen is his hockey rink. He puts my socks on his hands for his gloves, and a pair on his feet for his ice skates, he will find random objects to put in his mouth for the mouth guard. He gets his hockey sticks out and his puck and "ice skates" in my kitchen. He even goes to the "locker room" when the Zamboni comes out. He cracks me up. Tally's mom is Canadian, and that is where Tally was born was in Canada. All of Tally's uncles and cousins have played or do play. So it must be in his blood.
Braylon is growing so fast and has such a sweet personality. He is totally a mommy's boy. Just ask grandma. He does not like to go to her at all. :) He is 10 months and is walking everywhere. He loves Colsten and wants to be right in the middle of everything that he is doing. He follows him everywhere. Colsten loves him as well. They wrestle on the floor and both will just laugh. Colsten can usually always get Braylon to laugh.
Anyway this is what is happening in our family. I will try to post pictures. The boys never want to cooperate when it comes to pictures so I don't get a lot. But I will post some soon.
