Hawaii
We just got back from Hawaii on friday (April 1). We (meaning 20 people - 11 adults, and 9 kids all 5 and under) spent 9 days there. We flew out on Tuesday March 22. It was so beautiful and warm. I loved it. My whole family went as was Natalie's wish before she died. We felt her sweet spirit with us. She promised my mom before she died that she would be there with us and I believe that she was. We did a lot of fun things. I put the pictures in a bunch of different collages below. (They will also be slide shows if you want to see the smaller ones a little easier)
We spent time at the beach, a few of us went on a catamaran to do some whale watching, we ate shaved ice at Matsumoto's, we went to the lovely Polynesian Cultural Center, We went to the Dole Planation and saw thousands of pineapples, we hiked into a botanical garden called Waimea Valley and at the end of the hike was a beautiful waterfall that you could swim to and under so we did that. It was awesome. We ate Hawaiian food. One of the best or highlights of the trip was going to the Temple. My brother Tyler turned 19 while we were there. Last year on his 18 birthday we found out that Natty was terminal so that wasn't a fun birthday, but this year was better. Tyler received his mission call right before we left. He leaves in June to serve in the Chile Osorno Mission, so on his birthday this year he went through the temple for the first time to receive his endowments. It was neat to have ALL of us there (Nat was there). I am so excited for him.
It was a fun trip. Sorry for the picture overload. I didn't know the best way to post them. It is nice to be home, but I do miss the warm weather and just the beautiful place that Hawaii is.
